In the efforts to assist young orphaned men to make a life for themselves and their siblings, a carpentry school was established.
The carpentry project was commenced in September 2003 for male orphans and staffed by experienced and trained teachers. It aims at financially sustaining itself within the next few years by selling products which are being engineered by the boys.
The carpentry activities are situated at Igombe area away to Bukoba town about 2.5km from the main office of St. Mariagoreth organization at Nyaigando.
The vocational training lasts for 3 years, where the graduate must have passed all tests and exams of both theories and practical and the trainers have assessed and satisfied that the student is able to manage himself in carpentry activities.
